London-Based Indie Rock Band Florence + The Machine Capture the Power of the Stage on New Live Album 'Everybody Scream'

By Anne Connor | The Sound Cafe Journal

London's Florence + The Machine are bringing the energy, theatricality and emotional intensity of their critically acclaimed Everybody Scream Tour to a worldwide audience with the announcement of Everybody Scream Tour Live, a 22-track collection capturing the band at the height of their live performance powers.
The album will be available digitally on November 6, 2026, with a triple-vinyl edition available for pre-order ahead of its scheduled March 19, 2027 release. Alongside the announcement, the live recording of “Which Witch” has been released across streaming platforms, offering fans an early glimpse of the performances captured during the tour.
For Florence Welch and her band, this release represents a particularly significant milestone: their first full-length live album documenting an entire tour. While previous live recordings have offered glimpses of Florence's extraordinary stage presence, Everybody Scream Tour Live brings together a much broader portrait of an artist whose relationship with a live audience has become central to her musical identity.
Following the North American and UK/European legs of the Everybody Scream Tour earlier this year, the recording brings the experience to listeners who may not have had the opportunity to witness the performances in person. The North American run included sold-out shows at New York's Madison Square Garden and Barclays Center, alongside two sold-out nights at Los Angeles' Kia Forum.
Florence + The Machine have built a reputation for performances that extend well beyond the conventional concert experience. Welch's commanding vocal delivery, distinctive stage presence and ability to create an atmosphere that moves between vulnerability and sheer theatrical power have made the band one of the most compelling live acts of their generation.
That ability to connect with an audience is also reflected in the breadth of the material included here. The 22-track collection moves across the band's catalogue, bringing together familiar favourites such as “Shake It Out,” “Cosmic Love,” “Dog Days Are Over” and “Seven Devils,” alongside material from the Everybody Scream era. It is a setlist that recognises the band's musical journey while giving the newer songs room to establish their place within an already impressive body of work.
Since the release of their debut album, Lungs, in 2009, Florence + The Machine have become one of the defining acts in contemporary alternative music. That breakthrough was followed by Ceremonials (2011), How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful (2015), High As Hope (2018) and Dance Fever (2022). Across five albums, the band have achieved multiple US and UK number-one records, collected numerous awards and established an international following through both their recordings and celebrated festival appearances.
Welch's influence has also extended beyond her own recordings. She has collaborated and shared stages with some of the biggest names in music, including The Rolling Stones, Lady Gaga and Taylor Swift, while Useless Magic, her published collection of lyrics, poetry and drawings, offered readers another insight into the creative imagination behind her work.
What makes Everybody Scream Tour Live particularly appealing is the opportunity to hear these songs in a different context. Studio recordings establish an artist's vision, but the stage allows that vision to evolve. Songs acquire new dimensions through performance, the relationship between musicians and audience, and the unpredictable energy of a room filled with people experiencing the music together.
For Florence Welch, whose performances have always carried a remarkable sense of emotional commitment, that distinction matters. This collection captures not simply a selection of songs performed in front of an audience, but an important chapter in the continuing evolution of Florence + The Machine.
With “Which Witch” already available and the digital album arriving November 6, fans have an opportunity to revisit the Everybody Scream Tour in its entirety. For those who attended the shows, it will offer a chance to relive the experience; for everyone else, an invitation to discover what has made Florence Welch such a formidable presence on the international stage.
