Premiere: Wreckless Strangers - Live Performance Video For 'What's Your Price'

Wreckless Strangers have released a live performance video of “What’s Your Price,” a fan favourite off their debut record When the Sun and a Blue Star Collide. The record, released in May, was produced by Colin Linden, GRAMMY-winning producer/artist and renowned guitarist.

When the Sun and a Blue Star Collide has received high praise across numerous outlets and “What’s Your Price” has been singled out as a high point of the record, “The crashing roots rock jangle of “What’s Your Price” ranks among the album’s highlights...The heart of Wreckless Strangers’ When the Sun and a Blue Star Collide is its songwriting and doesn’t exhaust listeners despite a long overall running time. It’s a sprawling effort well worth your time and money” (Michael Rand, MobAngeles).

Amber Morris, Wreckless Strangers vocalist and songwriter for “What’s Your Price” recalls, “Pretty early in the pandemic, my husband Tal Morris and I began songwriting together, which we hadn’t done for a few years. Being able to share in a creative pursuit during a time of great uncertainty and anxiety was a release and may have even brought us closer. We wanted to do some epic, big attitude, Southern Rock thing in the vein of one of our favourite bands, the Black Crowes.”

Amber adds, "“What’s Your Price” was the result of our being fed up with the status quo. Playing this tune for an audience is such a high. I have so many great memories of shooting the video at Great American Music Hall, but most important that this band has got fire! My Wreckless brothers delivered the goods on this one! They rock the hell outta this tune!"

Wreckless Strangers is a collective of six seasoned Bay Area musicians known for their collaborative songwriting and high-energy live shows, performing an infectious blend of music they call "California country soul." The band features Amber Morris (premier vocal coach noted for her work with members of Journey and Mr. Big) on vocals; David Noble (Poor Man's Whiskey, Pardon The Interruption) on lead guitar, vocals; Joshua Zucker (The Jones Gang, Rowan Brothers) on bass; Austin de Lone (Nick Lowe, Elvis Costello, The Fabulous Thunderbirds) on keys; Mick Hellman (The Go To Hell Man Band) on drums and vocals; and Rob Anderson (repeat world champion cyclist) on guitar.

Over the course of their six years together, the Wreckless Strangers have released two records and become fan favourites at the Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival.

Their album, When the Sun and a Blue Star Collide, was produced by GRAMMY-winning artist/producer/guitarist Colin Linden (Bob Dylan, Emmy Lou Harris, Keb' Mo, Alison Krauss & Robert Plant).
