New York Singer-Songwriter Josie Bello Drops 3rd Album 'Resilience'

Josie Bello is a singer-songwriter born and bred in NYC, currently hailing from Long Island, NY, where she lives with her husband Frank Bello and their Puerto Rican rescue dog Spunky. No subject is off-limits for this songwriter on a mission to share her thoughts and views about almost anything. If something moves her, she’ll write about it.

Her third album, Resilience, (2022) contains 9 tracks of original Americana music that fuses folk, rock and blues with memorable lyrics and melodies. Josie manages to tackle difficult subjects like misogyny and prejudice, and get her point across without being preachy. Josie has a knack for dealing with topics that are both timely and timeless such as aging, depression and unrequited love in songs that are moving and enjoyable due in no small part to her pristine vocals and lush musical arrangements.

In addition to Josie’s accordion and keys, her powerful, yet at times vulnerable vocals, are backed by a lineup of veteran musicians including Mike Nugent (guitars, bass, dobro), Shawn Murray (Drums, Percussion), Jim Small (Harmonica), Richie Guerrero and Sean Dolan (Percussion). The album was produced by Mike Nugent and mixed by Kevin Kelly at The Workshoppe East in Huntington, NY. Mastering was provided by Erik Balkey and Glenn Barratt at Morningstar Studios in Philadelphia, PA.
