The Kate Lush Band are releasing their brand new offering ‘THREDBO BLUES’…here she has combined forces with the likes of Steve Edmonds, Josh Smith, and Dave Hole, firing up a colossal celebration of Blues and Southern Rock with a dash or New Orleans 2nd line grooves.
The album was inspired by the Kate and Steve's collaboration at the 2022 Thredbo Blues Festival which saw a collection of songs they were showcasing evolve into an amazing body of work. Their unique approaches saw songs like The Allman Brothers ‘Whipping Post’ and Blind Faiths ‘Can’t Find My Way Home’ come to life with Kates’s powerhouse vocals and Steve’s legendary guitar mojo!
The album has broad appeal with renditions of some well-loved blues classics like ‘Voodoo Woman’ and ‘Night Time Is the Right Time’ which are well placed alongside Kate’s brand new single ‘Loves Got A Hold’, an upbeat New Orleans’y love song.
The album Features a stellar cast of great musicians including Steve Edmonds on Guitar and vocals, Matt Roberts on Guitar and vocals as well as contributions from U.S. artist Josh Smith on Guitar (Voodoo Woman) and Dave Hole on Guitar (Jackson). Tony Boyd on Drums, Wes Harder on Hammond and vocals, Christian Young and Tim Wilson on Bass, John Pennings on Trumpet (Loves Got A Hold) and Dave Weir on Sax.
