South African travelling Blues Rock Singer-Songwriter Kenny Hughes is back with his new single 'Destiny' produced by, and featuring Evert Snyman (Drums, Bass & Keys).
Kenny shares that “Destiny is about a dream I had some time ago. I dreamt of a girl that looked familiar, but I couldn’t figure out where I knew her from. Hence the line ‘I think I knew her name’. It’s a groovy tune that brings a lot more of the funk feel to my sound. I’m really happy with how it turned out, and hope you enjoy it.”
Kenny has been on a roll the past 18 months, delivering one hit after another. His last 3 singles consecutively made it to the no 1 slot on the SA TOP 40 with MIX FM (two also made it to the TOP 50 tracks of 2021). Kenny was also a finalist in the US Banger Music Awards, and enjoyed radio premieres, features and further chart entries in SA and the UK, as well as countries like Germany, Canada, and Australia.
In addition to radio plays globally, he was also fortunate to play countless shows and prominent festivals like Park Acoustics, participated in podcasts and interviews globally, featured on YouTube shows with BurgStudio, as well as TV shows with Drumpipo Network TV, Expresso Live, Die Groot Ontbyt and Doodgewone Jo with Jo Black.
