Pink Floyd at Pompeii

Experience Pink Floyd like never before, from the haunting ruins of Pompeii to your living room

Sony Music Vision brings one of rock’s most iconic moments back to life with Pink Floyd at Pompeii – MCMLXXII, now available in breathtaking 4K Ultra HD Blu-Ray from February 27th, 2026. Featuring newly remixed Dolby Atmos, stereo, and 5.1 audio, this ultimate home edition transforms the band’s 1971 performance into the most immersive experience yet. Pre-orders are open now.

Filmed in October 1971, before The Dark Side of the Moon, Pink Floyd performed an intimate, audience-free concert in the ancient Roman Amphitheatre at Pompeii. Tracks like Echoes, A Saucerful of Secrets, and One of These Days echo through the ruins, while rare behind-the-scenes Abbey Road footage shows the band crafting the first ideas of their legendary album.

Led by Director of Restoration Lana Topham, the team meticulously scanned the original 35mm footage in 4K, hand-repairing every frame and enhancing natural colors while preserving the film’s 1972 spirit. Steven Wilson’s new mix in Dolby Atmos, stereo, and 5.1 brings every note to life with incredible depth, clarity, and spatial immersion – capturing the way Pink Floyd truly sounded in 1971.

The film’s 2025 theatrical return earned universal praise:

  • The Guardian: “Mesmerically peculiar portrait of a band on the cusp of greatness”

  • The Telegraph: “Required viewing for every aspiring young musician”

  • Financial Times: “Magnificent”

  • NME: “Iconic”

Meanwhile, the first-ever album soundtrack, Pink Floyd: Live at Pompeii, topped charts worldwide, earning five-star reviews for its captivating new mix.

Following the 50th anniversary of Wish You Were Here in December 2025 – which achieved triple Platinum in the UK and 7x Platinum in the US – interest in Pink Floyd has never been higher. Pink Floyd at Pompeii – MCMLXXII captures a band on the brink of legend, offering fans a historic, audio-visual journey into the heart of rock history.

Pre-order your 4K Ultra HD Blu-Ray now and witness Pink Floyd at Pompeii in the ultimate home experience, releasing February 27th, 2026. Pre-Order Here
