Melbourne's Rich Davies And His Band The Low Road Release Foot-Stompin' New Song

Australian Folk Music Awards Finalists 2021 (for Folk Artist of the Year – Duo/Group), Melbourne's Rich Davies & The Low Road release Living For The Weekend, a modern-day land-shanty recorded live for cameras for their new EP 'Live From Brunswick'.

Scotland-born, Australia-based Rich Davies & his band, The Low Road deliver a foot-stomping' contemporary folk attack.

Featuring trad-roots instrumentation, five part gang vocals, and narrative-driven songs, delivered with the ferocity of a rock band. Davies draws from his heritage and love of the old folk traditions across Mountain Music, Celtic, and even Shanty, through to 60’s Folk Revival influences.

Honouring folks' rich history with rousing sweat-drenched performances and drawing comparisons like 'The Pogues meets Springsteen' with their visceral Rock'n'Folk'n'Roll.

Rich Davies & The Low Road have garnered a reputation as one of Australia’s most formidable live acts, showcasing a contemporary folk music style, paired with songs from a poet’s heart and a rocker’s soul, Davies’ compositions pay loving tribute to the great folk forms of old.
