Award-winning singer-songwriter, Colin Clyne adds another impressively beautiful arrow in his quiver with his latest single 'Within Hindsight' which is available on all top digital platforms via Royale Music/INgrooves.

When asked about the story behind the new single Clyne added “…the song is a tale of loss, regret and hindsight, be it in love, death or a self-departure from who we felt we were. It is based around the symbol of public benches, more so than ever over the last year I’ve seen so many benches ablaze with flowers and messages to loved ones lost…”.

‘Within Hindsight’ is following Colin’s international song award with “Where The Ships Go To Die” where Clyne proudly flew the flag for Scotland by winning both ‘Top Male Artist’ and ‘Best Song’ for 2020 with Canada’s Blue and Roots Radio worldwide contest. The International song contest was judged by an independent panel of ten ( 10 ) jurors who are currently part of the Worldwide Blues & Roots Radio team. They are all active in their music communities in Canada, USA, Europe and Australia and several of the jurors sit on regional and national award panels in their respective countries.

Clyne has released a music video to accompany this haunting ballad which was filmed in and around Aberdeen in Scotland. Colin said: “The whole purpose of the video was to shoot Aberdeen and catch the beauty of it. A lot of the time it’s not really captured as I think it could be and we are certainly proud we have done so at all the various locations.” The video was filmed around Aberdeen beach, the beach area at Torry Battery and takes in Marischal College, St Machar’s Cathedral kirkyard as well as Victoria Park.

The video features actor Alec Westwood, whose film and TV credits include Roughnecks and Schemers. He also appeared in the sci-fi short Children of Chronos – shot in Aberdeen – which received a prestigious indie accolade at a London film festival. Upcoming actress, Shanna Logan also stars in the video along with the talents of film maker Barry Thackrey behind the lens.
