Australian Rockers, The Rank Outsiders, Release New Single 'Gettin' Down' From Upcoming Album

The Rank Outsiders are four seasoned musos, El Gee (Electric Guitars and Vocals), Paul Winstanley (Bass Guitar and Vocals), Matt Orchard (Electric Guitars and Vocals), and Adza (Drums), they are The Great Ocean Rd., Victoria, Australia. They love nothing more than the sound of vintage guitars played through fine amplification and a little denim.

Schooled in the great deeds of acts such as SRV, early ZZ Top, Freddie King, Clapton, The Allman Brothers, Jimi Hendrix, Los Lobos, Georgia Satellites, Little Feat and the original Fleetwood Mac to name a few, the boys deploy a classy trove of their own tunes at every opportunity. Their first, self titled, album saw the band feature in the nominations for Blues & Roots Radio's, International Song Of The Year and Album Of The Year.

The Rank Outsiders had been working up some tunes for the second album prior to the Covid events of 2020. Gettin' Down was one of the songs they'd managed to play live a few times and at one point there was a break during the Victorian lockdowns where they were able to cut the track in their beloved studio, The House Of Rock. Interestingly, the vocal on this tune was supposed to simply be the guide track, to be replaced by a final take. The rest of the band loved the vibe so much however, that they managed to convince LG to go with it. A slight change of pace for the band, Gettin' Down, represents the more mellow, bluesy side of The Rank Outsiders, captured late at night when they do their best work.

The new single, Gettin' Down, is available now !
