Corn Nut Creek is a story of two women from different sides of the world on a journey of self-discovery through music. The indie folk duo features Tanya Bradley’s banjo paired with Danielle Vita’s fiddle and vocals – an ensemble greater than the sum of its parts. Their brand-new single Trails of Truth is a progression from their Americana and bluegrass roots that signals an evolution of the band. In 2020, their song ‘Nowhere to Go’ was in the ‘Juror’s Top Five’ and was a category finalist in Blues & Roots Radio’s International Song Contest. They are planning to release their first full album in October 2022, followed by an Australian tour.
Trails of Truth is a letter to a past seen through rose-coloured glasses. It explores how the deeply buried roots of yesterday grow and strangle the soul with regret and how our past misdeeds shape the present. It is a message sent out across a dry landscape, not to a lover, but the false idea that only others can fill our cup.
