Australian Americana Outfit Georgia State Line Receive ARIA Nomination For Debut Album 'In Colour'

As one of the most talked about Americana acts in Australia, thanks to the refreshingly honest sound that is even parts heartsick and hopeful, Georgia State Line (Georgia Delves) has been on a hot streak since their release of the highly acclaimed debut album, ‘In Colour’, released through Cheatin’ Heart Records/Spunk Records.

“In Colour”, was announced as one of the five finalists in the Country Album of The Year category at the prestigious ARIA Awards.

Speaking after the nominations announcement, Georgia Delves said, “I was so emotional when I found out! I was at work and sobbed in the storeroom”.

“This album is an accumulation of years and years of hard work and passion, and is reflective of every piece of encouragement I’ve had along the way. We don’t write songs for awards or accolates, but the visibility in such a category means the world and I’m so thankful to ARIA and Cheatin’ Hearts/Spunk! who’ve come on this journey with me that is releasing songs and hoping it’ll find its connective audience”

Luke Woods from Cheatin’ Hearts Records added, “We are so thrilled for Georgia and her incredible band on their ARIA Award nomination. We truly believe ‘In Colour’ is one of the best debut records from an Australian country music artist in a very long time. It was also the first record we ever put out on Cheatin’ Hearts, so needless to say, it means a lot to see the album recognised in this way. We’re honoured to be part of the journey with Georgia and congratulate her on this epic achievement”.

Besides being named in both Rhythms and Post To Wire’s Best of 2021 lists, “In Colour”, was also a finalist for the AIR Awards, named as ABC Country’s Album of The Week and Georgia State Line was invited to perform at the 2022 CMC Rocks Festival.

Georgia State Line’s ARIA nominated, “In Colour”, is out now through Cheatin’ Hearts Records / Spunk Records.
