Tyler Childers once again proves why he’s one of the most vital and unpredictable voices in modern country with his highly anticipated new release, Snipe Hunter. Due out July 25, this 13-track album is a bold testament to Childers’ evolution as an artist — one who reveres tradition while constantly redrawing its boundaries.

Produced by the legendary Rick Rubin alongside Childers himself and Sylvan Esso’s Nick Sanborn, Snipe Hunter is a masterclass in artistic conviction. The sonic landscape is rich and varied, drawing from the Appalachian roots that launched Childers into the spotlight, while weaving in subtle, unexpected textures that reflect his fearless experimentation.

Longtime fans will rejoice at the official release of the beloved road-worn gem “Nose On The Grindstone,” a song that has long been part of his live lore. Its inclusion is both a nod to his grassroots beginnings and a cornerstone of a record that feels deeply personal and strikingly present.

This is an album that doesn’t just showcase Childers' signature lyricism — it expands it. With Snipe Hunter, he doesn’t play it safe. He leans into emotional honesty, layered arrangements, and the kind of storytelling that transcends genre lines. It's no wonder Rolling Stone hails him as “one of his generation’s most important voices.”

Childers’ rise from Purgatory to Country Squire, and most recently Rustin’ In The Rain—with the Grammy-nominated single “In Your Love” — has been nothing short of meteoric. His ability to pack stadiums, captivate late-night television, and command critical acclaim speaks to the authenticity and power of his work.

As he prepares to hit the road with The Food Stamps for an extensive tour that spans iconic venues like Forest Hills Stadium, Nashville’s GEODIS Park, and London’s O2 Arena, Snipe Hunter stands poised to be a new high watermark in an already celebrated career.

The album title itself — Snipe Hunter — is a playful nod to a classic practical joke rooted in rural folklore: sending someone on a wild, often fruitless chase for an imaginary creature. It’s a fitting metaphor for Childers’ ability to chase down the intangible — truth, beauty, pain, and redemption — and turn it into something real, unforgettable, and uniquely his own.

Simply put: Snipe Hunter isn’t just a new album — it’s a statement. A reaffirmation that Tyler Childers is not only here to stay, but here to lead.
