Young French Alt-Rock Group, Darwells, Drop Official Music Video For 'Love Ya' Ahead Of Sophomore EP

By Stevie Connor.

About three years after giving birth to their debut EP 'Drive Me Home/Not Crazy', the four lads of Darwells, an alternative-rock band from the South of France, are back with a brand new single 'LOVE YA' and have announced that they will be releasing their sophomore EP this year. "LOVE YA" just saw the light digitally with its official music video and will be featured on 'Life', a 4-track EP to be released on October 20th through all digital platforms.

The band came together in 2019 in the Avignon area in the south east region of France, and they started to work on their first songs during the Covid-19 pandemic, they went on to record their first EP called 'Drive Me Home/Not Crazy' which was released a few months later. After moving to Lyon and enrolling in Le Labo du Conservatoire de Lyon, whose aim is to advise artists and accompanies them from rehearsal work to concerts, including studios and residences. The Conservatory's aim is to help each student build their own musical project, to develop an interpretation based on listening and analysis, to play with other musicians, to acquire a solid instrumental or vocal mastery and to develop their autonomy.

Each course offers a teaching adapted to this project, enriched with very diverse musical situations and experiences, both within the Conservatory and outside in the form of concerts in partnership with other educational structures or cultural institutions.

While studying the group of four began playing more than twenty shows, and decided to go back into the studio and lay down four new tracks, the second EP by Darwells is the result of those sessions.
