Four Chords & The Truth Set For Another Spectacular Night Nov 16th With Stellar Line-Up Announced

The official line-up for the upcoming November 16th Four Chords and the Truth show at TD Music Hall in Toronto within the Allied Music Centre/Massey Hall complex has been announced.

Joining the show from across Canada and the U.S., are Montreal-born, Los Angeles-based jazz singer-songwriter / Island Records recording artist Stacey Ryan; BC-born, Alberta-based alt-country singer-songwriter, Kyle McKearney; songwriters Candace Lacina and Mike Little from the acclaimed Calgary-based roots Americana band, The Hello Darlins; Ottawa-born Toronto-based hitmaker/producer/musical director/Next Star judge, Dan Kanter; and host/curator, Nova Scotia-born, Toronto-based, singer-songwriter, Andrea England, and as always with the Four Chords shows there will be a surprise guest or two!

The Sound Cafe's Jo Louk's and Stevie Connor will be in attendance.

Stacey Ryan is a Canadian singer and songwriter. She initially received public attention in January 2022 after posting a snippet of her single, "Don't Text Me When You're Drunk", and asking users to finish the lyrics. Her subsequent single, "Fall in Love Alone", topped the Billboard Indonesia Songs chart in 2022. She is currently signed to Island Records. She released her debut EP on April 7, 2023.


With Kyle’s sound encompassing not only country, but blues, R&B and rock ‘n’ roll as well, he exemplifies everything the Americana genre represents: music for anyone who appreciates pure heart and soul. Kyle was a multi award-winner at the 2023 Canadian Country Music Awards.


Making a name as the biggest breakthrough artists on the international Americana scene in 2021 with their debut album Go By Feel, Canadian country/roots collective, The Hello Darlins are gearing up to return with an even more ambitious collection of material for 2023.

Led by Romani-Canadian musician, Candace Lacina and world-renowned Keyboardist Mike Little, The Hello Darlins are some of Canada’s most in-demand session musicians who came together to forge a distinct hybrid of country, gospel and blues. In keeping with their spirit of collaboration, The Hello Darlins will again feature many other friends and guests, a trait that has lead the band to earn the reputation as “a rootsy version of Broken Social Scene.”


Dan is a multi-instrumentalist, musical director, performance coach, and multi-platinum-selling songwriter/producer from Toronto, Ontario. He is the musical director and former lead guitarist for Justin Bieber. Kanter has written and produced numerous songs and albums – most notably co-writing and co-producing the song "Be Alright" on Bieber's album Believe, and co-producing Bieber's albums My Worlds Acoustic and Believe Acoustic. Kanter has also directed and performed with Stevie Wonder, Carlos Santana, Miley Cyrus, Shawn Mendes, Drake, Bob Weir, Ariana Grande, Logic, Usher, Julia Michaels, Keith Urban, and Mike Gordon and Jon Fishman of Phish.

He was a judge on the YTV singing competition TV show The Next Star and the CBC music competition TV show Searchlight. He is the host of the CBC show Guitars In Hand with Dan Kanter.


Founded, curated, and hosted by Nova Scotia-born, Toronto-based singer-songwriter and songwriter advocate, Andrea England, previous shows have featured the crème de la crème of Canada’s top and emerging songwriters ‘confessing’ the secrets behind their songs in an intimate semi-circle, the series has featured to date over 100 award-winning songwriters, among them Rose Cousins, Matt Mays, Dan Hill, Scott Helman, Jully Black, Paul Reddick, Don Amero, Jason McCoy, Andy Kim, Tom Cochrane, Tyler Shaw, Damhnait Doyle, Liz Rodrigues, Donovan Woods, Russell deCarle, Sylvia Tyson and many more.

Andrea has just released a brand new body of work, Evidence Of Love, her first release since 2012's Hope And Other Sins ( produced by Grammy winner Colin Linden. )

Evidence Of Love contains co-writes with internationally renowned artists, Tenille Townes, Liz Rodriguez and James Bryan McCollum, and the musicians contributing include Liz Rodriguez, Carleton Stone, Hill Kourkoutis, Christine Bougie, Lyle Molzan, Stuart Cameron and John Whynot. The Toronto-based musician, whose songs have been recorded by everyone from Meghan Patrick and Don Amero to ex-Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger, releases her long-awaited Americana EP which was produced by Juno award-winner Hill Kourkoutis (Aysanabee, Digging Roots).
