California Rockers, Robert Jon & The Wreck, Announce New Album + US, European & UK Tour Dates

By Stevie Connor.

Following their triumphant UK tour earlier this year in February, Robert Jon & The Wreck (RJTW) return to Europe and then to the UK for a 10-date tour in September 2023. Specials guests on the UK leg are American roots-rockers Caitlin Krisko and The Broadcast.

RJTW’s special guests in the UK, Caitlin Krisko and The Broadcast, have just released their new single “Operator” on Friday July 14th. The single is available on all streaming platforms.

RJTW’s September UK tour follows the August 4th release of their new album Ride Into The Light featuring songs produced by Grammy Award winner Dave Cobb (Chris Stapleton, Brandi Carlile), Don Was (John Mayer, Bonnie Raitt), Kevin Shirley (Iron Maiden, The Black Crowes), and Joe Bonamassa and Josh Smith (Marc Broussard, Eric Gales, Joanne Shaw Taylor).

The new album features the band’s latest single, the celebrated summer anthem “West Coast Eyes,” plus many more infectious singles. Packed with blistering blues-rock and sun-soaked Americana ballads, Ride Into The Light is as high-octane as it is soul-stirring, proving that rock and roll is thriving in 2023. Reinvigorating their traditional production process,

The album finds the band reaching a new level of musicianship and songwriting prowess, delivering a fresh take on rock & roll while evoking classic artists like The Allman Brothers Band, Eagles, and Lynyrd Skynyrd.

Ride Into The Light features four tracks from the band’s recent EP release One Of A Kind, which received rave reviews and helped catapult the band’s profile to new heights. With tracks produced by GRAMMY-Award winners Don Was and Dave Cobb, One Of A Kind showcases Robert Jon & The Wreck’s wide range and dynamic sound, from the instant rock and roll classic “Come At Me” and the captivating, Americana-infused “Who Can You Love,” to the riff-driven roots rock tracks “Pain No More,” and “One Of A Kind.”

Prolific songwriters with a wealth of new material who refuse to be constrained by traditional release strategies, the Wreck’s new partnership with Joe Bonamassa’s Journeyman Records affords them the opportunity to work with the world’s top producers and release a steady stream of high-quality singles on an ongoing basis, cutting through the industry chaos and ensuring new music is accessible to fans as intended.

Hailing from Southern California, Robert Jon & The Wreck take the Southern rock sound from the east coast and make it their own. Since their inception in 2011, these four native Californians; Robert Jon Burrison (lead vocals, guitar), Andrew Espantman (drums, background vocals), Henry James Schneekluth (lead guitar, background vocals), Warren Murrel (bass), and new recruit Jake Abernathie (keyboards), have been electrifying audiences all over the world with their soaring guitar leads, rich vocal harmonies, and memorable tunes. Simply put, it is difficult to ignore when these talented musicians take the stage.

Little wonder they have made an impact on audiences across the world, where they’ve played a run of sold-out shows and proudly shared bills with talent the likes of Joe Bonamassa, Peter Frampton, Buddy Guy, and Rival Sons. 2020’s "Last Light On The Highway" album garnered worldwide acclaim for the band and 2021’s "Shine A Light On Me Brother" album continued their upward trajectory, leading to a collaboration with Journeyman Records.

RJTW have toured with Bonamassa, Buddy Guy, Eric Gales, Living Colour, Chris Robinson Brotherhood, Walter Trout, Rival Sons, Robert Randolph & The Family Band, Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real, The Cadillac Three, Black Stone Cherry, Devon Allman Band, Billy Sheehan, Sturgill Simpson, and many more.
