Rosedale Junction is the crossroads of traditional American born and raised blues, country, R&B and good old fashioned rock 'n' roll. Founded by multi-instrumentalist and award– winning songwriter, Toby Soriero, the band’s 2021 debut album, Stompin’ on the Front Porch, was nominated for Album of the Year by Blues and Roots Radio. Their 2022 follow-up album, The Last Rodeo reached number one on Roots Music Reporting’s Country Blues chart.
Several of the groups' songs, including their holiday single, Sleigh Bell Blues, have been featured on Joe Bonamassa’s personally curated Spotify playlists. From their forthcoming album, Goin’ Off the Rails, the groups' new single, and winner of the 2023 New England Song Writing Competition (Blues category), 309 Buckland Street, is released April 28th.
Toby Soriero began playing guitar at the age of nine, having studied under Connecticut-based jazz guitarist, Ron Stebbins. Coming of age in the golden era of album rock, Toby’s appreciation of various guitar players is endless. The most influential on his playing were Eric Clapton and the Three Kings (B.B., Albert and Freddie). In 2019, he made it to the semi-finals of the Annual Blues Foundation’s International Blues Challenge in the acoustic blues duo category.
